I’ve heard the Hell-Cat is a little more susceptible to heat soak than the ZL1. With those numbers it looks like the Hell-Cat was pulling some timing.

I've heard the Hellcat isn't bad regarding heat soak due to the larger twin screw blower. The Hellcat's trap speed was higher than the ZL1 so it looks to me like the poor ET is probably due to a bad launch.

I don't think that's the case any longer. It used to be that way when they posted their vids to Youtube. MT doesn't do youtube anymore. Everything they do is on their own website now.

While I'm not sure if anyone has been able to replicate the 9.65, there have been stock Demons in the 9s.

I have a hard time believing the 10.9 on stock tires though.

That's what I'm getting at. Seems Dodge needs to ease up on their quarter mile advertisements. Give the people real achievable numbers.

From personal experience, I will say without a doubt that the Hellcat is nowhere near as easy to launch on stock tires as the ZL1.

I’ve had a subscription for quite a while, so I could be wrong. I just thought you could go to their site and watch some stuff for free.

Edit: I guess you’re right. I just tried to watch some stuff on a PC without logging in. All the newer videos are locked.

Not surprised by the ZL1 results. 23 second figure 8 is mind blowing. Me personally, I'd take a ZL1 over a new Z06 any day of the week.

Or maybe, they're saving the best for last. Charger Hellcat Red Eye perhaps?

I believe it was a manual not the automatic. Even Porsche has a big difference in 0-60 & 1/4 times with their manuals.
Even so I still prefer manuals.

I'm sure that 10.9 was achieved with the same Gorilla glue track prep Dodge used for the Demon's alleged 9.65.

I agree. Average it out or use the best time one of their testers achieved on an unprepped track.

That would make more sense. Somebody in this thread said they were both automatic.

There are no stock Demons in the 9s. There's no stock Demons in the low 10s. The fastest Demon with the FULL CRATE, running race gas, is 10.23, which shouldn't count as stock but whatever. Demons are a full second off advertised times if not more. The stock Nitto tires suck. Everyone is changing them out.

The comments about the BMW M4 were hysterical! These BMW guys are driving me nuts around here....they all think they are in the middle of an auto cross regardless of traffic!
