OK, sorry I thought it was some sort of a Photoshop app or something that could be used in conjunction with the Xbox computing power

Letting em dry a little longer and gonna mount tomorrow. I haven't seen many people paint their zl1 rims, and now I know why, lol. Sooooo many angles to get. I painted the center caps as well, but I'm thinking of peeling it off and staying black, what do you guys think, all white center cap, or peel it off and have black cap?
The white wheels don't look bad with the color of your car. I'd say I prefer the black center cap though. I would hate to have to keep white wheels clean though. I can only imagine that you would be constantly cleaning them.

Unintentionally slammed my garage door shut today, causing a rake to fall off the Rubbermaid fasttrack hook. You can guess what happened next - a scratch and ding right behind the small window on the rear driver's side window. I about lost it!

I got my DA out, used some DIY DETAIL gold standard polish w/ a polishing pad and got out about 70% of the scratch. Knowing these cars are light on clear coat, I will address it while he is up for winter, since I planned on doing a correction for ceramic coating anyway. The ding, I am trying to decide if I should have it fixed, but I am not confident how well this metallic paint can be matched up, and I'm even more unsure if I want to get that evasive so early on in my LT1's life. I might have to live with it for now. Ugh, I am still fuming.

Picture is a before and after with a very light polish.

Assuming you used the gold waffle pad?
You could probably hit it a little bit more and call it a day. majority of my car reads around 4.5-5mil of paint thickness. You could try Yvan 5-5-5 method
You probably can't even see it all that well unless you look for it out in the sun.

I can see the reflection of shovel, rakes etc. Just me, but I’d move that stuff somewhere else. I’m having a panic attack looking at the shovel and hoe.

Good luck w/ the scratch, doesn’t look bad at all. I had a tiny ding removed via paint-less dent repair, close to where your ding is. It was fixed lickety split for a 200 bucks.

there are zero objects on the wall or next my ride for this very reason.

Anything can happen, especially if you have a somewhat, clumsy wife

Took me awhile but finally did the differential fluid. First time I have taken a crack at anything like that. It wasn't too bad. had a little over 11k miles on it when I did it. It may just be my imagination but it feels like the ride is a little smoother (changing gears). I will say I have been checking on it constantly since I did the change, had some cardboard left over night underneath it to see if I didn't tighten everything down properly. No leaks but still has me checking everyday... praying I don't hear something I won't like coming from the back end.

I put my rims on, looks great! Quick question. Is it safe to powdercoat the forged zl1 rims? I keep getting conficting answers, this was just temporary to see how it would look.

Absolutely safe to powder coat the ZL1 wheels. Go for it.

I was reading a thread where shop destroyed guy's zl1 wheels
Something to do with excessive heat they used while powder coating which destroyed the properties of the wheel and it started to bend easily
