Stock Air Intake Question

Hello All, so my car came with a K&N CAI on it. I am putting on the stock one and I am having a slight issue with the vacuum line. First off, this hose certainly doesn’t seem to be the hose that would have came on the car as it’s a “fuel” hose and eat to long. Second, it doesn’t really go in, it just kind of sits there. Do I need a new hose or is there an adapter I am missing or something? Any help would be appreciated.

You are missing a piece on the stock exhaust; there should be 'nipple' that goes in the that hole on the intake and sticks out so the hose can slip over it. I installed the K&N CIA on my SS and know that air vent hose was replaced with the one provided with the new system. Unfortunately, I tossed the stock air filter system, along with the OEM air vent hose and the part you need.

Doesn’t the OEM hose come with that as par of the oem one? What would you call that part/line?

The K&N system comes with it's own air vent hose; I believe the OEM air vent tube is made out of aluminum and it has the piece you're missing attached to it (if I remember correctly)

Not sure of the part number, but here's a picture of what it should look like (at least the end that goes into the air intake) …
