With mine acting like a locker Ive been concerned about the longevity/reliability of the rear end along with unnecessary tire wear from turns with it staying locked. I noticed my rear tires yesterday were very worn with chunks out of them and a giant torn area. I haven't done any burnouts or hard driving. The car only has 2000 miles on it. If all my other issues get fixed and I don't seek buyback under lemon law, GM is gonna at least owe me a rear set of tires once the rear end is fixed.

Shouldn't be an issue. If it is than at least I won't have to deal with it as I already have a lemon law attorney, tons of documentation of my rear end issue, pics and video showing the tires already falling apart at just 2000 miles. Again not just tire wear but they are coming apart. If it was just tire wear than I wouldn't stand a chance.

every car I've owned with a clutch based LSD was change the diff fluid (and sometime add posi-quite) first 1500 miles. My Type R and then in about 2000 the Camaro went to a quaife which has no friction material.

So it sounds like I'm back to changing diff fluid in a week or so... No big deal, good to know that posi-quite is already in the fluid.

Yeah I hear you...I feel the same way, dealer will probably argue with me I am sure. My wife heard it last night when we were driving last night, glad I wasn't going crazy![/QUOTE]

Well you guys having noises while turning ( coming from the Rear End ), be careful. I took mine back yesterday ( for the third time ) with the sound getting worst. Today I was told that there were metal shavings with 2nd fluid change, and GM will be sending a new Rear Differential for my car ( and will be a week ).
So keep a close look.

I was getting noises and took it into the dealer they changed the diff fluid drove it changed it again and it went away, the service tech said they saw this a lot with c7 vetts at first because the additive would separate after sitting for a long time they actually reformulated the rear end lube for vett... At least thats what he told me...
Either way the noise is gone now

Mine comes from the rear, but when slowing down, a squeaking sound, low but audible. Feels a bit rough at times, kind of feels bogged down at times and when coming to a stop feels rough, jerks a little.

2 dealerships have told me this is normal. Looks like I'll be taking the lemon law path.
