2010 SS engine knock

So I am kind of freaking out about this. My Camaro only has 19,000 miles on it. When I start my camaro cold... it has a loud knocking noise and continues to knock until the engine temp. gauge gets over 1/4 of the way up. Should I be worried about this? Is anybody else having this issue? HELP!

Cool Engine Knock

My advise would be to bring it back to the dealer, that is not normal and since the car only has 19000 its a warranty issue, dont let them bullsh-t you Good Luck Let me know how you make out.

engine knock

Now it only does it every once in awhile. Like she has mood swings or something. I tried to show my friend how it knocks and it wouldn't do it. It has a 5 year-100,000 mile powertrain warranty... so i guess i'm no sweating it too badly.

Has the dealer done your oil changes or have you done them and if you have done them have you used the specified oil (Mobile 1) for your changes?

I would take it into the Dealer let them keep it overnight being the engine does this when its cold, see what they have to say and what avenue repair they take.

Mine did that.... Started it up click click click, got 12 miles down the road the valve spring cylinder 6 snapped and it went from click to bam. Not trying to scare you but a minute at the service station beats a week or 2 in repair shop.

It's a collapsed lifter.
