Someone has stock in clutch manufacturers.. I get having a preference and opinion.. But, Jeebus... This has turned in to a one man crusade against the torque converter and it's making me pass up entire threads over it.

We all get it dude... You hate GM Autos.

[QUOTE=20171LE;9040536]Veyron, Huracan, AMG GT-s, 911 Turbo, and the 2,500hp GT-R/911 owners all have DCTs with clutches that work..

This is why I also Mentioned "Remember Ferrari, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Mclaren all of these companies use mechanical automatics and have proven reliability with power. "

To point out it can be done correctly.

So do I but since 20171LE was doing such a good job hating I didn't feel the need to pile on.

I too hope the new A10 is all it's hyped to be.

I've seen some of your comments.. and, like I said, I totally get not liking this or that, having an opinion one way or another, but these complaints go on for page after page and I'm trying to be passive here.. But, I think many of us are just getting annoyed now with it..

This is only giving Mustang6G more ammo.

Meh...who cares about mustang6g. Most of those guys can't be objective enough to criticize their own cars so who cares what they say about ours. I think we stayed pretty civil here. Only 10 pages. (so far)

Let's start a new A10 vs. M6 from scratch, just for fun.

Hey so I saw in the other thread you actually tracked the A8. Was it in a vette or Camaro? This is a subject I really want some input in since I the C7 with the A8 is on the short list of cars I'm interested in getting. Looking for real user feedback since magazine testing is generally a lap or two and done. I know I hated the A6 in my last Camaro. Since I don't think anyone is going to let me test a C7 in a 20min track session I'mm looking for real world experience.

Just in the Z06. The 8L90 is a world of difference from the 6L50 and 6L80. It shifts much faster (even with the paddles). The difference compared to the 6L90 isn't as noticeable on upshifts, but the downshifts are much faster (especially going down two gears). Keeping the paddles slightly depressed all the time reduces the travel delay to almost nothing.

One thing to note is the SS doesn't have the E-diff, so it probably won't be as sensitive to shifting in the curves as the Z06. You get shift delay when the computer "thinks" you might upset the balance of the car. If you practice the stuff I outlined in the other thread, then the delay will go away. That feeling of satisfaction when you get it just right the first time is amazing.

Of course, you can't go wrong with the M6 either. You will have loads of fun with both!

Thanks for taking the time to write that I appreciate it. So none of the much rumored heat soak and limp mode even in Nevada in the z06? The Z is out of my price range anyway. The 3 cars on my short list are a 14 or 15 c7 the new 1LE and the new ZL1, both of which have 0 user feedback yet LOL. Seriously considering going auto though since I know it makes my wife a little sad that she can't drive a car she helps pay for.
