Need to repalce rear bumper cover, is there a good place to buy?
Okay, so both my wife and son have dinged the back bumper cover on our 2010 LT1. I guess they don't know what the freakin" beeping noise is telling them! Anyway, now I'll need to replace it. Is there a good source online to purchase from and is there an instructional write up somewhere on how to do change it out. Tried a search, but couldn't find good info. Thank you!

Think if you look in the DYI section on LED backup lights, it tells you how to remove the rear bumper.

You will need to have it painted anyway, the come on primer.

Rear bumper cover is not too expensive, cost is labor to paint. See if you can find a dealer that will honor insurance company parts rates (some do).

Where in PA are you? I work at a dealer in NJ and can buy parts with my employee discount. I can ask our paint department how much to spray it.

I'm about 90 minutes from the NJ border on I-80. Where are you in NJ? It might just be worth my time and travel. Thank you.

You may find it most cost/time effective to just have a body shop repair & paint yours.
I just had mine repaired & painted for $762 wich included replacing the clear bra on both sides. They paid the clear bra guy $140 so I guess the repair would have been ~$622. The advantage, in my mind is they were responsible for matching the paint.

Only thing is color. If your car is Synergy green that is super hard to match. Will send P.M. |
