2019 Camaro ZL1 new to this forum

I found this forum and love all the info. I bought a 2018 Camaro 2SS the last week of February and some idiot with a truck hit me at around 50mph and totaled my car! It was only 7 month old!Once the insureance was settled, I went car shopping and I was looking at the 2018 Corvette Stingray, but decided to buy a 2019 Camaro ZL1.
The ZL1 feels like a different car compare to the 2SS. I haven't pushed it yet since it only has 122 miles, but I can't wait until is broken in.

Nice ride!

I agree, the SS to ZL1 change is NIGHT and DAY. The SS, while a great car, feels almost toyish, the brakes aren't rewarding, the steering is more vague, and it doesn't feel as poised I guess is the word. The ZL1 feels stuck to the road, composed, powerful and stops like nobody's business. Night and day. It's not an SS with a blower and forged internals.

Have fun!

They sure do and these pics really show it... but then the 18 dark tail lights look better on the darker colors too.

When I took it for a test drive, it was very apparent. Just like you described it. I was actually looking for another 2SS, but during the test drive, I knew I couldn't go back to the 2SS!

Yes it is! Most of the cars that I've owned before were all manual, but I have a bad back and living LA with the traffic, it would've been a nightmare!

Thanks! I went from a Mercedes 500SL to a Camaro 2SS and now the ZL1.The 500SL was a 1999 with only 25,000 miles, but it was costing me too much in maintnance. That car was $90,000 new! You get so much more for less with a ZL1.

Welcome to the forum! I got back in a ZL1 today too. Lost my first one a year ago in an accident.
