What kind of power will the factory rods hold up to?

I'd say 1000 RWHP is where they start to become a weak point. The crank too. The block itself is about 1400 HP with appropriate forged crank/rods/pistons etc. All of the parts can sustain more than that obviously. It's all about usage. You could put a massive pair of turbos on it and make 1 dyno pull at 2000 RWHP and never run the engine over 3000 RPM again and it might last forever. Conversely you could bend a rod at 700 RWHP if you try hard enough. Automatic trans cars are a lot gentler on an engine too. Stuff really starts to wear fast on super long pulls. Half mile, rough. Standing mile? True testament. Repeated standing mile pulls will bring many high HP/"pushing the limit" builds to their knees. Kttx would be fine at 1000-1200 RWHP with decent usage. If he started doing 1 mile events a lot, then...time to go forged. He's already going built engine shortly so. He knows what's up.

According to LME. The crank will hold up to 1500. I'm going to do pistons and connecting rods here in another month. Keeping the stock crank. Everything else in my car is built. I have ARP everything, upgraded lifters, and some of that other cam shit we upgraded when we did the cam. Just need the pistons and connecting rods done, we'll do some honing and sleeve work as well while we have it out. Depending on budget, I'll upgrade the crank. The only reason I'm not really dealing with it as I don't dig, so the abuse is not that hard on the hit, but we'll see. Once I have it out, I'm sure I'll prob just do it anyways. Agreed. I don't beat on my car. I'll do a few street pulls on the weekend. 5 tops, then I'm done for the night. The rest of the week I'm just daily driving it. I'll never WOT during the week. But, as with anything mechanical, shit will break so. I'm counting on it. Once built, I do plan on a few private track days to beat the 9.1 record. If I don't, I don't. I'll go back to the streets. If I do, I do and I'll still go back to the streets. haha. Whatever happens, we'll find out where the weak spots are. I don't think anyone has gone over 1350 on a built block so. I will be pushing that to 1500 here shortly. So, we gonna find out. If it goes kaboom, it goes kaboom.

Just fyi. Matt, my tuner says 1119/900. But, he also doubted we'd hit 1000 on pump so. I'm just figuring another 100 hp for the new part installed and 116. If I see 1200, I'm gonna fkn flip. And if it holds too. haha. But, we ain't gonna tune all day and night to eek out a few more hp. We'll do 2 or 3 hits and call it a day and just live with it for now. We really don't even care for the 116 pull, but we are doing out of curiosity more than anything else. Cus I'm never gonna run 116 until we are fully built and I have a $ race lined up. But, will be interesting to see what it produces.

That's kind of where I'm thinking I'll end up. Just due to air temps. If it was 70 degrees, I'd easily crack 1200.
