AEM wideband + BANKS iDash

Hey team… does anyone know if I can use the AEM WB sensor to feed the Banks iDash? I see no reason to run both,

I’ve had mine setup like this for two years and it works without missing a beat.

How are you feeding it? One of the aux inputs from the AEM to the idash? I'd love to be able to trend my afr with the idash but haven't ever figured out how.

Yes, the Banks gauge just plugs into the AEM auxiliary port.

The last I read is Banks was still working on integrating WB into the gauge (if that’s what you’re looking to do). It appears they are still in R&D and this link has not been updated in months.

My concern is how well the WB going through the Banks will work with HPT. I read the new HPT MPVI3 now includes the Pro features and that is claimed to be released next month. But Banks appears to show an expansion module needed for the WB. Maybe you’d have to connect to HPT with a serial connection. IDK as there’s not a lot of information on this product launch from Banks.

The AEM has a "pass-through" OBD2 port connection so you can piggy back your HPT module or in this case, an iDash. What i was not about, that I just confirmed, is that the iDash is taking the data meant for the AEM guage. I am no longer using the AEM guage... just the iDash.

Interesting. I may have to mess around with mine again. I'd love to have my AFR being logged along with everything else (without hooking up HPT laptop). If that worked I'd buy a second i-dash and stick it where the AEM lives now. Just wish they'd get injector pulse width added into the pid's that are available.

No sir, it’s not available. radz28 started a thread about this and a few of us have emailed Banks requesting additional PID’s to be added.

As radz28 mentions, we should all reach out to Banks asking for additional PID’s in a respectful manner or add to his thread. Hopefully they realize the interest and push a firmware update with our requests.

Yup. I hit up a couple of their social media accounts a little while ago.

We have to bug them if we want this stuff added. The more they hear, the more likely we'll get what we want.

I emailed them again about 3 weeks ago, but they stopped answering me. Still hope the will add the PIDs we were asking for one day! (KR, and Injector ms)
