Wobble nuts should eliminate the bending stress on the studs. I'm not sure they solve the issue of locating the wheel precisely, but at least there's no risk of stud failure and you won't wallow out your lug nut seats in the wheels.

Just for the sake of knowledge being shared the last set of new tires I had mounted on new wheels had a combined run out of 0.004” on the best assembly to 0.012” on the worst assembly.

So where am I going with this non-related information.

These wheels and tires were road force balanced. The technician said he likes to see under 0.030”.

That machine located 100% from the seats in the wheel.

So the point being made is that if you use 120.65 BC wheel on a 120 BC the run out will be 0.65mm all to one side as Msquared mentioned. That’s 0.025” not including the run out from the tire/wheel assembly.

I’d expect mismatched BC’s will at least produce some premature wear and/or a possible balance issue.

Also, I’d like to see how much run out the road force machine measures after mounting 120.65 on a 120 hub with a few thousand miles on them.

This just sounds like a great way to lose your entire wheel while driving down the road. There are thousands of different wheel styles out there. Some even look almost exactly like the wheels you want off the Corvette, but with the right ET and lug nut configuration for your car.
