Is the Camaro 2SS exhaust too loud?

While I thought the 2SS sounds great starting up with and driving out of the neighborhood at 5:30am... A moment worth sharing. See attached letter.

FWIW. Whilst I don’t rev the engine and I speed away at whopping 25mph, perhaps Im too quiet in the afternoon? HA!

I would probably set my car to snow/ice mode by default, to keep the noise down. If you have it on anything else the NPP is open at start up.

But that's just me.... I've had kids and know what it's like to struggle with sleep, and it seems like your neighbor is legitimately trying to be nice.

Your opinion my vary

+1, I assume you have the NPP exhaust option (4 tips vs the standard 2). I quiet my exhaust down when I get to my neighborhood at night. I get home at 3am from work.

Wow, that’s a first. I’ve always thought it was already quiet as is.

This. I have 7 kids. Do I get annoyed at loud exhausts? Yes but the Camaro does not have an exhaust that loud. I highly doubt it would wake any sleeping kid inside of a house. Perhaps they have their windows open.

I live in a small culdesac and I keep it under 20 mph on my street and keep the rpms low when I leave early in the AM. There's kids on my street and I try to be courteous.

Buy a bunch of earplugs in bulk, drop a few packs of them off at each doorstep with a note: Here's to a better nights sleep!

I do not believe that is true. Snow/Ice sounds like Touring mode. The change is with the throttle, it softens/delays input to not create as much torque.

The only mode that I know of that closes the valve completely is silent mode. However, remembering to put it into that mode every day after driving is the part that sucks. I believe there’s a note in the manual that states it’s not meant to be driven for a prolonged period of time in silent mode. So not only is it remembering to put it in that mode it’s also remembering to take it out.
