VVT table on WOT with aftermarket cam.

Hello,

I am using TSP stage 1 cam with Whipple.

From the maker, I was advised to use the table below in Name: KakaoTalk_20180701_205439132.jpg
Views: 551
Size: 167.0 KB

but to use all zero'd for WOT condition.

I am wondering why is that. Isn't it more efficient to use the VVT at high rev? for both partial and WOT?

and one more question,

up to which number of spark timing advance can I use if there are no knocks? I am using 24* with meth , no knocks. If I put more timing , the more power?

24 with boost? DANG SON, that's aggressive.

Most aftermarket cams run "0" since the camshaft is designed that way.
The stock cam is totally different and needs to move to be efficient down low, and up high.

If you are "0" at WOT, I see literally nearly ZERO reason why you would have your baro tables set up to go 1,1,1,1,2,3,.... since the chances of you being that high in the RPM without being in WOT is very very slim. (like free-reving in the parking lot)

However, its usually best to run what the cam maker wants you to run.

NOTE: Personally I remove all VVT from these cars, and run strait lock outs. (not limiters, but lock outs)

these cars don't like much more than 24-25 degrees on 93 naturally aspirated and 28-30 on E85. On a boosted car with meth I would think you are very close to the limit. what boost level are you running?
