I have the same factory wheels as you do. but the previous owner ran into to many curbs and the rims had curb rashes. so I opted to take to a local powder coater and he fixed the curb rashes and powder coated the factory wheels gloss black but kept the center cap silver. Looks awsome! Cost me about $100 a wheel which is not bad considering. Hope this helps.

I have another alternative, if you have a few spare hours and want to try out a really cheap way to get the rims black, I will suggest plastidip. It will take a few cans, and you can use the glossifier to make them a little more glossy if desired. But this is extremely cheap and 100% removable.

My previous car had several pieces done in plastidip, door handles, fuel door, spoiler, and yes the rims. It doesnt take that long and if you don't like it, just peel it off. Best part is, its super cheap.

I agree with the guys saying silver. Use the $$ for performance options. When you're moving, black wheels disappear and all you see is a big void in the wheel well.

I have the stock satin black 5 spoke. When I get around to it I will refinish them with a Hi gloss clear coat.

Got them from Orielly Auto Parts. They work great with no problems.

To the OP, i like your factory wheels as they are currently.

I have never liked black wheels on anything.

Being 50, i associate dark wheels with a lower trim level. I know that is not the case
in 2019.

Black and darker wheels remind me of painted steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps from years gone by.

I like bright work and traditional chrome etc. I think it's because I was a child of the 1980's.

I'm 56 and right there with you... I know it is the style now but I'm not a fan of Black wheels.. Must be our age group..

I'm with you younger guys. (I'm in the senior division) Those black wheels make me think about the highway patrol cars around here. Black wheels with a little chrome hub cap in the middle. Like the previous comment about the entry level cars. The upscale models had hub caps or chrome "rally wheels". I know we're probably in the minority around here. To each his own.

Don't paint them. If you want the black, get a set that's already been painted that color from the factory.

Black wheels on light colored cars look good, the black on yours would be great. I vote for black.

I don't like black wheels on black cars, just my preference.

I have low gloss black wheels from factory. I like them but would prefer Gloss Black. I have been doing some performance mods but when I get to appearance mods I will get them powder coated. I did swap out the brake pads to Power Stop Z26 Carbon Fiber Ceramic. Some of the best $$ spent on the car. Virtually eliminated brake dust problem.

Leave it the way it is. IMO Black wheels hide all the details/design of the wheel
