ZL1 1LE wheels

Picking up my car this weekend. Already leaning towards BC Forged wheels. Not sure what rubber I will install, but Im reaching out for some help...

What is involved with tire sensors? Can anyone assist with the part number? What is the procedure to sync the new sensors with the car?

Ronnie

Thank you for the recommendation. Do you know the part number of the sensor? And steps involved to sync?

wild hammer sells the sensors not sure how much they are tho and as for sync i believe you have to go to dealer or tire store to have them do it

TPMS sensor is PN 13598787 for the SS 1LE (it's more expensive than lower trim Camaro sensors), and the nut to hold the TPMS to the wheel is 13581557.

To program, you can take it to the dealer or the shop, or buy an EL-50448 TPMS learn tool online for $15 and do it yourself.

Asking for what rubber to use? We all say we need extra large....
Wait> What?

Tires? What are you doing with that ZL1? Knee jerk response is PS4.

What size wheels? Stock size? wider? smaller?

Have you seen the New MRR Forged Line? Pretty Sweet. HERE

If you're not fully committed to the BC Forged wheels yet, we are running a Group Buy on our newly released ARC-8 wheels specific to the Camaro chassis. Found HERE

As for rubber, this can only be answered if you let us know what kind of driving will be done. All street, all track, some mixture of both? What sort of temperatures and amount of rain will it see?

I am using this TPMS programmer on my 2SS. I do not see why it wouldn't work for you. The process is so easy!! Buy this and don't bother paying a dealer/tire shop $20 each time you need TPMS learned to the car.

Here is the TPMS relearn procedure from the manual.

Quote:
1. Set the parking brake.
2. Place the vehicle power mode in ON/RUN/START (Hold Engine Start button down with foot OFF brake)
3. Make sure the Tire Pressure info display option is turned on. The info displays on the DIC can be turned on and off through the Settings menu. See Driver Information Center (DIC) 0 119.
4. Use the five-way DIC control on the right side of the steering wheel to scroll to the Tire Pressure screen under the DIC info page. See Driver Information Center (DIC) 0 119.
5. Press and hold SEL in the center of the five-way DIC control. The horn sounds twice to signal the receiver is in relearn mode and the TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message displays on the DIC screen.
6. Start with the driver side front tire.
7. Place the relearn tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve stem. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor. A horn chirp confirms that the sensor identification code has been matched to this tire and wheel position.
8. Proceed to the passenger side front tire, and repeat Step 7.
9. Proceed to the passenger side rear tire, and repeat Step 7.
10. Proceed to the driver side rear tire, and repeat Step 7. The horn sounds two times to indicate the sensor identification code has been matched to the driver side rear tire, and the TPMS sensor matching process is no longer active. The TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message on the DIC display screen goes off.
11. Shut the ignition off.
12. Set all four tires to the recommended air pressure level as indicated on the Tire and Loading Information label.
