Dealer Lost Oil Cap

So kind of a quick post just to see if I should be worried about any long term damage. The quick of it is that I took my dealer to have the 500 miles engine oil change service done in April. Fast forward to this past Sunday I discovered the Oil Cap blew off and there's oil all over the cap side of the motor.

At some point since getting my oil changed and today the cap blew off likely because they did not properly tighten the cap. So potentially I went some 1500 miles without an oil cap as I have 2050 miles currently. During which time my car never threw one light although I'm not sure that it would in this situation.

I took the car back yesterday to have them replace the cap and do the oil change free of charge. Should I be worried from a long term perspective?

Take sample of oil and have it analyzed ? Cut filter apart and do the same? If there was dirt - that's where you can expect to find it.

Trust, but verify.

i wouldnt worry too much about it unless you were driving in the desert or on dirt roads. keep the receipts. There not really anything you can do now about it. If you have problems your 60,000 drivetrain warranty will cover it.
