Timing Set Question

Are there any performance companies that manufacture a gear-drive timing set specifically for the LS series or will a SBC setup work?

Wasn't trying to be funny. I just cant believe someone would ask here, rather than just look. Takes a second to find stuff.

Is that you CamaroFred being incognito or just a relation, aye? Already did a web search with Google, Bing, Explorer, & even asked Simon before posting the thread (so I forgot to include "LS" & only entered "2010-15 Camaro L99 gear-drive timing set" instead in the search bar...my bust). Not going into detail right now (lunch break winding down & want to spend last few minutes relaxing...not waste it replying to a DA* post) but will post later to further disuss timing set selection & seek advise from knowledgeable forum members. (*denotes Dumb Ass)

Funny. Just to confirm who is the DA, I entered your search terms into google and clicking on the second link shows me the Comp gear drive. I only posted what I did because all these forums are quickly becoming a place to ask questions that one could easily answer themselves, and its just ridiculous. I eagerly await your next exciting question !!!!

So what purpose does the forum serve if its not to discuss stuff?

It is to discuss stuff. A post like..." I see comp makes a gear drive timing gear, has anyone used it " is something to discuss.

"How do I turn on my headlights" is not, and can easily be found out on your own.

My original post started as just a funny little jab, but the op took it a little too seriously. Have a great day and fun discussing it.

opinions are like a$$holes...everybody HOPEFULLY has one or you truly are full of SH!T. and while I do wholeheartedly agree that some of the q's on this board not only are ridiculous but boarder on the verg of STUPID...we all have the same ability that all parents have with their children and TV..change the channel...in this case...elect not to reply to a thread when no help is being given? You state it was a lighthearted jab but where was the LOL...LULZ...ha ha...etc?

My replies are designed to HELP and if necessary question and gently chide when appropriate. can't say how many q's peeps have put up that I read...laughed..AND MOVED ON. I will help those that want help AFTER they attempt to help themselves. We all are hopefully just trying to have sum FUN and for me the personal pride of doin it ALL ON MY OWN!

peace...

How do you turn on your headlights?
Do you have a specific way of turning on your headlights or do you just use the auto function and let it do it own thing?

Was just answering one sarcastic reply with my own~lol. I apologize & admit that I overlooked the link & didn't see it....hence, the reason that I asked if a SBC (small block chevy) gear-drive timing set instead. Please read the whole question before you decide to pop off. Getting ready to do a cam swap & wanted to update the timing set in the process. Since the engine will not putting out 1000+hp or spinning over 7000rpm, a belt drive is not warranted. Was considering a gear-drive...wanting to know if anyone has install & if having any problems with the knock sensors (gear-drives due tend to be noisy). Now seeing that they're overpriced for my application, going to go with a timing chain setup (can live with a little chain stretch). I wasn't going to ask but would hate to have you hover over your keyboard all weekend eagerly awaiting my next exciting question. So here goes....do you lick them as well as you bust them?
