Sombody want a like new Z/28? 450 miles!

I was picking up some parts today at the local dealer and spotted this out front.

I couldn't believe the mileage! A typical garage queen, but it was in perfect condition. I had a few moments of mental wrestling in my head on trading my 2SS in on this, but I walked away.....

I don't need this, so why do I want it so badly? The call of the NA 427 is strong.

That car was for sale at Speedway Chevy in Monroe last year. Looks like they did a dealer trade?

For what he's asking you could buy yourself a used gen6 SS and replace the engine. That car is going to sit for a long, long time at 50k.

There are dealers in Upstate, NY that have brand new Z/28's for $20K off sticker. If they drop $30K off sticker, I might have to buy one and mothball it. Then bring it out 30 years from now and hopefully get a huge check, lol.

I got a dealer down to $52k last year on a black Z28 with only 400 miles, but he wouldn't go any further. The cars still there today. It's a hard sell for someone who wants a driver when you can have a brand new gen6 for less or even a nice C7 Z51. I agree with you, it's a car that will increase in value at some point if you store it. I wish I had done that years ago with a GNX but I wanted something I could drive.

Agreed. Unless someone whos absolutely in love with Z28 comes along. I'd buy it for $45K.

You would tie up your money for 30 years, insure it for 30 years. garage it
for 30 years, maintain it for 30 years, etc ? Good luck with that....

I wonder if that one came from Puyallup, if so that car had it's wheels stolen right off the car and left on cinderblocks.

They pop up from time to time locally to me. I've never seen one with over 1000 miles. Typically have ~500 miles.
