I think the rings issue is more reflective of the team, not necessarily the QB's 'greatness', i.e. Dilfer, Johnson who won rings but weren't great, or Marino ,no rings, but was great.

Moon vs Manning, blah blah blah.

Cowboys fan here and I gotta say Tom Brady is 39 playing like he's 29.

We can never know for sure if he's just a direct product of his system, but 4th quarter, final drive to win the game, there's no other QB I want.

Note: Tom Brady's statistics are updated as of January 24, 2016, while Peyton Manning's statistics are final.

Jim Brown easy top 1 or 2. I threw Barry Sanders in there because well... the Lions, then again... Jim Brown well... the Browns LOL

Barry Sanders was a one man show there in Detroit and retired in his prime, so that leaves a lot of "What if(s)??) in his legacy... I do gotta give Jim Brown all the credit in the world.

I watched his "All American" documentary and that left me with chills. What an amazing human being that guy was.

Jim Brown retired in his prime also, in a salary dispute with Art Modell. The Lions always paid Barry well, every contact he signed, made him the highest paid running back in the game. He left because after ten years the Lions weren't any closer to the SUPERBOWL than when he showed up. Yes that's the Lions legacy, one playoff victory in the Super Bowl era. Barry was part of that one victory, 38-6 over the Cowboys in 91.

Moon was great but he isn't even in the top 5 for his position when you consider the best of all-time.

Yards he was top 5 I believe. If you throw in the CFL yards, definitely.

If Adrian Peterson wasn't hobbled with injuries, I'd say he makes a case as well.

Jerry Rice pretty much was unanimous here.

No one feels it boils down to Joe Montana vs Tom Brady for the QB?

I mean Steve Young tore it up as well once Joe was outta there, albeit he had Jerry Rice his whole career basically, but Tom Brady had who exactly?
