Is the 2014 front bowtie different than other years?

I want to either get a flat/satin black or BRM bowtie for the front of my 14. It appears to be smaller than previous years. Anyone selling these yet?

I think it is smaller, you might try plasti-dip.

Yes very different. Smaller and not as pointed.

I ordered a replacement set for "2010 and up" and it was not the same.

Evidentally, the Bowtie is VIN specific, but I have yet to find anyone that knows what the difference is between the VINs for 2014. I know it is package based somehow. At least that is what I have been told by 3 different parts departments now....anyone have any ideas or knowledge on this?

It probably has to do with the grille you have, the standard egg crate grille may have a different Bow tie from one with the RS package Grille and also the Z28 and heritage grille may also be different.

both the front and rear are different, front is smaller, rear is about the same size but has a slightly different angle as it sit on the trunk. both gold areas are textured also not smooth. then they also more expensive :(

Yep...knew they were more expensive, also knew that they were different in size and shape from the 10-13's...the curiosity is more that you cant just walk in and ask for bowties for your 14....they need your VIN to get you the right ones....hmmm why i wonder?

@ Angrybird 12 - does the heritage grill show up in the VIN? or RS? I know Z28, ZL1 1/2LT and 1/2SS do but the other two....

I would guess if they can use your vin number to get the key code they can use it to see which options are on your car.

I had the gold on both of mine covered with carbon fiber film, looks great and have gotten lots of compliments.

The grill in the front has a built in tray the same shape to hold it on the 2014, sucks cause I want to get rid of it. I guess I have to wait until some better grills come out.

Ok I understand plastidip....no thank you and stickers.....nahhh.....true carbon fiber is better. but the point isnt to really figure out what to put on it or how to mask it....I want to know what is the VIN identifier that separates the bowties....really no point other than to just know.
