I would have gotten the 7000 but the price on the 5000 from Costco ($1,179) was just too good to pass up and the heaviest curb weight of any of my vehicles is roughly 4,000 lbs so I stuck with the 5000...

do you have to buy any additional accessories for this work work with the jack points on the Camaro?

tranny, hit and miss. not sure i'd want to tackle that one on a quickjack

If we can all agree that obviously you're removing the trans while on your back, and not standing up....there's certainly enough room. I've removed many transmission with a car on jackstands, not quite as high up as the QJ set up. At 45....I feel it for a few days after doing it, but it's certainly doable. Whether or not you'd WANT to? LOL....well.....that's another story!!!

My good buddy has the QJ and it's awesome. For now, I'm going to survive on ramps for basic maintenance, etc. etc., but if I do another "build" I'll buy the QJ! -and some 5 gallon buckets!!!!!!!!

I bought the pinch weld blocks from QuickJacks ($82) but you could easily cut slots in the blocks that came with the QuickJack itself.

I informed the wife this is going to be our next purchase for the shop.

She gave me the look. LOL

I don’t think it will be able to lift the 550, unfortunately.

you can do just about anything, I did my headers with them no problem...
I guarantee you could do tranny, etc but that kind of stuff would be a much easier deal on a regular lift.... it reasonably eliminates the need for a lift by at least 90 percent...

According to the Pro-Western Plastics bucket spec sheet, a single 5 gallon bucket with a gasket lid can support 550 pounds. A snap lid will only support 308 pounds, so be sure you know which lid is which!

Seriously though, don't use a bucket lol!

‘18 F550 4x4 6.7L Quad Cab Dually 179”WB. 18,500 Gross. Have to check the ford body builder website for curb weights. Looked it up back when we got it, only now it has a Hillsboro Aluminum bed & rails I made for it so it’s a little heavier than specified.

Make sure you get an extended length model - at least 66” between jack points.

That lets you use the forward & rear most jack points for safer lift points for maximum safety.

I owned my QJ before I got my Camaro but was able to get the extenders that they sell to work with my Camaro

The jack comes with rubber blocks but you will still need something to go over the pinch welds
