Hyperblue SS paint

The paint on my front bumper seems to have cracked I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Does anyone know if this can be fixed or will it have to be repainted?

Looks like you hit something. Maybe lightly, but enough to pressure the paint. It will need to be re-sprayed.

Do you know if this is something that could happen with cold wether because I haven't hit anything that Im aweare of and does not have a dent or any mark where something could have hit it. The car has other chips from where its been hit with rocks but you can tell where the impact was.

It's possible someone else hit you (while car was parked for instance), which is why you're not aware of it. I have never seen anything like that from just ambient temp swings.

That is from impact...nothing else will spider the paint that way.

Dealership do any work lately? They could have hit something.

Interesting though. The bumper paint should be somewhat flexible since it is applied to plastic that flexes from expansion and contraction. For that to spider, it would need to be a fairly significant impact and there should be a sign of the impact. Weird.

Either someone backed/hit you or you bumped into someone one or something even a small bump will cause paint to crack like that. The ONLY fix is a repaint of the bumper since it's HBM I would be not want to do a blend job.

Yeah thats the samething I thought but there is not dent or source of impact on the bumper.

As others have stated there no way that paint magically cracks like that. Something hit it or it hit something and it does not have to leave a mark. If it was something rubber or wide it would only gently press your bumper lip in and what you have left is how the paint reacted to it.

My Hyper-Blue did not crack. The cracks are from some sort of impact.

OP - Has anyone else driven your car? These cars sit pretty low, and it looks like someone hit a tire stopper / curb in a parking lot.
