Maybe with the potential expectation that you'll provide the same when it's running. In case it's not as obvious as I think it is - the "through the hood" TVS2650R was one of the test mules for the 2019 COPO TVS2650R. It's the same system on their LS7s but with a single 109mm TB. We originally had a hood for it then decided it was cooler to have it through the hood - which in turn was a good choice as it did achieve an interesting level of attention. As for power numbers, not claiming the highest, or the fastest, several other people here are significantly faster than this car. The TVS2650R Magnum DI fits completely under the hood of a stock C7 Stingray, so it's pretty easy to see that it easily fits under the hood of a ZL1, SS, CTSV, ZO6 etc. Corvette stock hood images images below (this is a stingray hood on a Z06, not the taller Z06 hood): As for intercoolers, I don't know about any "Formula 1" technology, that must have been from someone prior to my existence at Magnuson, but I can assure you the temperature benefit that we have ARE partially due to our coolers which have undergone several effectiveness improvements over the last 2 years. We've tested everything on the market and know exactly where any competitor is at relating to intercoolers - they aren't on the same level. The other benefit is the actual SC design. I might have a bit of advantage here over other aftermarket companies as I spent over 10 years as the Advanced Engineering SC Manager at Eaton - the TVS rotors were conceived and designed by my engineering team, some of which are now at Magnuson. I also know many of the guys at Edelbrock and I'm not knocking their stuff, I have a different vision and maybe passion than they do, neither is right or wrong, just different. As for Port Injection, not quite as expensive as you suggest, but it's not inexpensive either - So far the best balance seems to favor about 30% max port injection to maintain the best power, but due to the limits of the DI fuel systems we're at about 50% on our car. For port injection our Camaro we run: MAF Fusion controller $589 https://shop.proservsolutions.com/products/maf-fusion Dodge Hellcat Fuel Injectors ~$400 Good low Side Fuel System ~$1500-$2000 Enjoying the build and looking forward to your results! |

Excellent discussion but perfection takes time.

Btw... I just noticed Edelbrock did leave provisions to add port injection notice the raised areas that are flat on the runners.
I'm having the hardest time trying to figure out where to mount this Evap or purge sensor.. looks like I'm going to have buy an extension and mount to the driver's side head and run the wires and 2 vacuum lines to it.. I'm sure I can have it tuned out later. There is no room in the area of the black PCV box and coil cover where the wire harness ends for it.

I had to work this weekend and wife got a flat tire just when I began to start working on Saturday had to take her a spare drag radial to get her to discount tire.. One cool thing is that I bought her 295 30 20 kumho sq setup they came w 10/32 and measure 8/32 they replaced the tire for free the manufacturer has road hazard the 1st 2/32 of tread for free.
I was able to find a roller bracket at work that mated perfectly to the sensor. I also took off those nasty 1/8 fuel lines Edelbrock had attached to the blower for vacuum lines. I used a longer bolt through the thermostat housing to attach the sensor. I was able to reuse the vacuum lines but on the longest line I picked up some hard vacuum line that worked perfect with the 90 degree boots on the OEM supercharger. (So I used 2 lines and boots from the other hard line of the oem). The extension came in so the Tmap is taken care of. I got it off Amazon from Michigan' Motorsports there on Ebay to. Apparently it's a Ford turbo extension lol. See pic.. All I have to do is mount the reservoir I'll weld the bracket i made to the stock Edelbrock bracket at work tomorrow. I got it and the reservoir from Edelbrock it comes from a dodge kit. I believe it's the same one ADM uses now his early style had hoses out the sides this has one in the bottom now. If your not handy just get the kit from him. *I'm test fitting pic is for reference...* I'm not sure if I'll have room for my catch can in same are as the reservoir now. On another note plenty of room to get to the PCV valve without lifting blower or crushing the line..

I really cant comprehend why you chose a picture that had an angle that made clearance look like a major issue. Heres a larger 4 pulley with a Nick Williams throttle body bolted up. The closest clearance is between the edge of the blower and the blower pulley. Anyone with the kit in front of them could clearly see the throttle body has ample room as it is moving away. The closest point is behind the throttle body. I commend Edelbrock for making the entrance as straight as possible into the blower. There is no need for anyone to worry although I suspect someone that works for another blower manufacturer or promotes another product is really not worried lol.

Heres a stock throttle body. Any way you slice it theres ample clearence around the tb. The closest place is well is behind the tb. The distance is becoming greater between the two at the point where you guys were concerned

Finally! got the reservoir and hose routing finished.. I made use of the factory hoses although to short since the 2650 is taller a combination of Gates premolded hoses did the trick along with two 5/8 to 3/4 heater hose couplers. The hose that comes off the intercooler pump is 3/4 yet the hose narrows to 5/8 for the oem blower manifold in other words, tapered down. The other hose is 5/8 all the way but the 2650 manifold is 3/4 and so is the reservoir. I made it look as close as stock as possible kept it away from the pulleys and out of the way for the filter box.
Parts used to mount the reservoir and mate to stock intercooler hoses. Gates 19839 premolded heater hose Gates 28479 premolded heater hose 2 5/8 to 3/4 coupler 2 24mm constant tension spring hose clamps 6 26mm constant tension spring hose clamps Edelbrock reservoir Coolant cap C6 vette This car will be running tomorrow...

nothing like going from 650wheel to 1000 lol

Sorian will tune since he tuned it when I swapped lower, headers, and intake on the OEM blower.
As soon as get some info to Edelbrock on this basically stock setup then I'll shoot for the 900 rwhp and do the cam change with the fuel upgrades.
