Here you go, this should do it. I haven't confirmed it personally, but I posted it here and another member said it will work.

So if I want to go back and forth between two sets of wheels, it won't automatically read the sensors that are on the car? Then I should get one of these tools I guess. Thanks for the link.
(With Jaguar, I just put on different wheels and drive, then car reads the sensors that are on the car)

Tried without the tool. Didn't learn the sensors.
Tried with the tool. Whole thing took me less than 2 min.
Definitely worth the cost for me - I swap tires/wheels about once a month. Didn't want to go to Discount tires / Belle tires every time I put on different wheels.

I tried without the tool, no joy.
Went to America's Tire and it was done in 2 minutes, no charge.

Quick question. I purchased a set of the MMR 228 wheels and tires from Need 4 speed and cant set the sensors up. I have the relearn tool and the dealer gave it a shot also today and we both cant get it. I'm thinking that they were never installed and would like to see if there is a way to check without taking the tires off?

Hmmmmm, if you are doing the procedure correctly and are using the relearn tool and the dealer tried it and cannot do it, something is not right, there may not be sensors installed. I guess the only way is to bring them to a tire shop and have them break the seal and have a look.

Correct, for the most part its a pretty simple procedure as I've done this on my SRX and no problems. Sent Need 4 Speed an email and waiting for a response.

I had a terrible time doing the relearn after installing my MRR 228's. The tool and TPMS stems just would not link up. I searched around but couldn't find anyone else with the problem so I assumed I was doing something wrong.

Took it to the dealer, they couldn't get them to reset either... ugh...

How I "fixed" it:

L/F Tire - set valve stem to the 7:30 o'clock position
R/F Tire - set valve stem to the 5:30 o'clock position
Rear Wheels - Removed (car was properly jacked up, of course)
Start the relearn process
Kneel down at the L/F tire and point the tool at the TPMS from the front and center of the tire - HONK!
Kneel down at the R/F tire and point the tool at the TPMS from the front and center of the tire - HONK!
At the R/R tire, point the tool at the TPMS from the inside of the wheel - HONK!
At the L/R tire, point the tool at the TPMS from the inside of the wheel - HONK! - DONE!

I went thru this process maybe 4-5 times before I got all 4 tires reset because time ran out and I had to restart the process. I had to move the tool around quite a bit for the rear tires trying to "aim" the tool at the TPMS stems.

It took a while and some effort, but eventually was successful.

GM - as far as I have been able to tell, requires tool. $18 version is working well for me as well.

FORD - you can train sensors by airding down tires. It also keeps two sensors saved per tire location, so you can swap wheels without relearn. That in itself it awesome!

The correct way to put the TPMS relearn tool on the wheel is right near the valve stem at the bead where the tire and rim meet. Put the tool right in that crack and it will activate the sensor.

I'm assuming this is in response to the MRR 228 users saying their method of use in the center of the wheel? You are correct about the "standard" method on the OEM wheels, but the MRR 228 wheels are much more difficult since the TPMS sensor is located near the center of the drum, meaning holding the learn tool at the edge like normal is useless.

I wish I had seen this thread when I was doing my 228s previously lol. I eventually got it to learn by putting the tool up against the tire, but I bet I tried 15-20 times before I could get all 4 corners learned before it timed out and stopped the learning process.

Kingbolen EL-50448 from Amazon. Works very well, and inexpensive $ 16.66.
