My RS4s didn't come in time to get mounted for this event unfortunately. Used what little life my Goodyears had left. Still managed to run back to back 1:29.5xs, bout a second off my personal best. Great event with Jzilla!

I'll be at the Chin event at Road Atlanta next weekend testing the Outlaw car I'm driving in the Optima Challenge, bringing the 1LE too.

Awesome vid! This is what feeling a car on its limit, anticipating and making necessary and timely corrections looks like. Cant wait for my first event in early June hopefully. iRacing will have to fill the void until then...

What the hell was happening on Day 2 Session 2? Why was everyone running 2 wide and half pace?

Looks like side-by-side drill. Full lap on track-right, then switch places, we did this at VIR last year but it was at a bit faster pace so it was a bit more exciting that this haha still a good drill even at slower speeds.

Here's my best lap from yesterday with Chin. Was there to test the Optima Challenge Outlaw Corvette I'm driving and brought the Camaro as backup. Ran a 1:36.64 - think I can shave another 1-1.5 seconds off, had a few bobbles and was battling traffic prior to this lap. New 305 RS4 setup is awesome! Car felt great!! Think they were a little hot on this lap haha Retired the C6Z early due to some issues, but did get to stretch it's legs...hit 180mph by T9. Nothing like a rear mount turbo LS3 w/ 720+hp!

One hell of a lap. You've split 2 ZL1 1LEs on a leader board inlc one on slicks...congrats!

Here's the car I was there to test...had some mechanical issues so we retired it early. Hopefully by the Optima Event at Daytona in a few weeks it'll be sorted. Hit 180 by T9 in the second session. It's a monster. Rear mounted turbo, tunneled undertray, active rear wing, makes 720+hp on the lowest boost setting and weighs 3100 lbs.

A but surprised to see Rivals vs slicks tho.
And no sequential tranny
Is that Max Papis steering wheel?

Yep it was side by side drills. We were supposed to be able to pass if one pair was particularly slow and holding us up, but it was pretty obvious the front pair didn't seem to believe they were holding up the pack. Was kinda disappointed as I felt side by side drills with my buddy was gonna be pretty fun. I was gonna have to pace him on the straights though he was only hitting 120 before 10A.

It really is something special. Beautifully put together, I'll post some pics of the rear turbo setup at Daytona. The rear glass is going to be F40 style to vent with a panel behind the driver. It had slicks on it at Sebring, but we have to run 200tw in the Optima Challenge. Owner wants a sequential! Maybe later in the year. Does look like a Max Papis! It's a fairly large MOMO.
