6th Gen 1LE Driveshaft & Half Axles Upgrade

Has anyone found a place who sells an aftermarket driveshaft and half axles that work with the 1LE?

Or does anyone know for a fact if we can use the ZL1 stuff? i had purchased the SS kit (driveshaft and axles) but then realized it won't work with our ESLD so any ideas? Going boosted so will need something that can hold the power.

I may be wrong but as I understood it the 1LE's drive train is a ZL1 without the supercharger.

but yeah i'll never stop modding it, only way is if it i sell the car and that might be pretty hard for me to do.

i heard the same but before i spend the money to buy the parts i wanted to see if someone has tried it, the spline is different between the 1les and SS so idk?

:( going to be making pretty good power here in a few weeks so not wanting to break stock parts to replace with stock parts.

The center sections & diff are identical (same part numbers actually) but I think the difference is the ZL1 1LE axles are a touch shorter so they can get the 325 tires under the car. I believe the diameter, joints, etc... are the same from the SS 1LE and ZL1 1LE, just the center length is shorter.

So would you say the 1LE driveshaft/half axles if being the same as the zl1 should hold the power a zl1 makes?

Thats interesting but makes sense on the zl1 1le.

Im hoping it is! lol

I know there are many running 700+ on the stock 1LE rear end with no issues - all I have heard is the standard SS stuff probably is not up to the task.

SS 1LE has a shorter right side axle than SS.

ZL1 axles are not the same as SS or SS 1LE.

E-diff is the same between SS 1LE and ZL1.

I haven’t seen info on ZL1 1LE - I was under the impression they were the same as ZL1...

I would think ZL1 axles would fit no problem.

As said the 1LE and ZL1 axles are different. If I was going to replace my driveshaft and half shafts I would check with G-Force engineering and see if they offer anything yet.

bringing this thread back to life, any 1LE end up making the jump to half axles or find ones that for sure fit now?
