What about retired AC Delco employees?? I'm not sure if it would be under Supplier or actual Employee discount

If GMS eligible then it is my understanding GMS eligible now. My memory does not include if AC/Delco employees/retirees were GMS eligible, mainly because I can not recall that question coming up back then.

I have several family members that worked for AC Delco....since they are a subsidy of GM,i wasn't sure if they would honor the legacy program or not....I'll have to do some digging around and find out

Wait, so this isn't only limited to immediate family?

I mean I see mentions of uncles, which doesn't seem to match the description of who's eligible.

I'm kinda confused here. Also it sounds like you have to specifically tell them who died. That also confuses me about the "surprised" comments I'm seeing. Are you just guessing or something? I really have no idea how this can be a surprise.

I feel like I'm missing something here...

Legacy is fairly new, how new I do not know, but the first I noticed it was with the launch of the Corvette Stingray.

Employee pricing is available to more than immediate family but also to grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. And some more such as adopteds.

The employee is limited to six per year (actually up from four per year if my memory is right). It can be hard to find a dealer who will accept it because these sales are subject to extra audits and using one the user agrees to provide birth and/or marriage certificates etc. and the dealer has some responsibility as well as the employee to so provide.

Abuse attributal to the employee carries sanctions, the most common being suspension from using the program for a period of time. Possible but I have never heard it happening is to repay GM for the amount of the discount.

The GMS/ GMO is a pretty sweet deal. I used it to get my 01 SS when I ordered it. It took about $4k off the price.

Or do what I did, and marry an eligible.

On second thought, the several thousand to effect an adoption might be more cost effective.
