Hood wrapped and ZL1 spoiler painted PIC
I wrapped my hood satin black Avery Dennison air release. Painted my splitter and ZL1 spoiler flat black. I have flat black mirror covers coming and will be doing flat black side skirts soon. How's it look so far? BTW its a 2018 ss Arctic Blue Metallic.

What paint did you use for your splitter and spoiler? Trying to decide between wrapping or painting my splitter and side skirts.

Did you do the hood yourself? That is exactly what I want to do to mine once the weather warms up. Also where did you order the mirror covers from? I was thinking of just plasti dipping them.

I used Krylon all in one flat black for the spoiler and splitter. The hood I had a vinyl guy I know help me do it. It was not very difficult though. The mirror covers I ordered on ebay and amazon and BOTH cancelled the orders, apparently they are out of stock. So no mirror covers.
I did the satin hood wrap to not try to copy the flat of a 1LE and satin is supposed to be easier to care for. I chose the ZL1 spoiler again to not totally try and copy a 1LE. |

Once in warms up here in the Northeast I may try to plasti dip the rear spoiler and mirrors along with the same satin wrap hood. Worst case with the plasti dip I can always remove it easily.

Looks good! Did you go with OEM or Aftermarket ZL1 spoiler?

Looks good! I do like black accents on any color as long as it is use throughout as a sort of theme! I too wanted to do the mirrors black but can’t find covers anywhere and no one wants to wrap them because of the complex angles. Well done!

I went with the aftermarket ZL1 spoiler. I was really impressed with the quality and finish.

Looks good!
Now go add some rockers and you'll have the full set. |
