I have my eye on these heads. Aren't they by themselves, just a bolt-on?
I mean, they attach with some bolts and gaskets... just like headers

I promise I will respond to everything in here. I just spent 12 hrs in my cram packed car to get to BG for the Fest. I will respond as soon as I get to the hotel tonight and can get on the laptop.

I thought the top end HP may be different on the M6 because of the AFM in the A8 being activated

me too, id be interested to hear about a "whole package" since that is essentially what i'm looking for to install myself.

cam, heads, intake,TB, headers and tune.

i like the idea of using the stock parts and porting them for the OEM look.

It seems he is on to something with the less aggressive approach getting reasonable power, and since i don't wasn't to loose drivability ....

Yes very cool. Lets say you did the ported TB, Heads, Manifold, and the Chevy CAI. You would have a stock looking maybe better than a reliably 11.5 second A8 or high 11 M6 SS. It would be cool for someone to see how fast that combo will go. If I was starting over right now for sure this would be how I would go. And don't forget to empty the windshield washer reservoir.

Not yet man. I just got them on last weekend. Finished the tune up over the weekend and have been fixing little problems, exhaust leaks, wideband etc.

I am just making sure now I do not have any coolant leaks and I will be set. I am guessing dyno is a month or so out. I am out of town for awhile starting next week..

I can promise you that I will be getting back to the dyno though. I am just as curious as you are. Im guessing 30/30. Thats what it feels like. It was a noticeable bump in the way that e85 was a very noticeable bump.

I have done a few IM now. Takes me about 15 minutes for that swap. GRAVY..

Head swap took me about 12 hours total. I moved slowly and drank too much beer the first day. I think If I had to do it again. knowing what I know now, I could cut that time down to about 8 hours. I have never done it before.

Its also been 100+ out everyday so that definitely slowed me down..

For those not tracking the Drag Racing forum this combo in a full weight (3,820) A8 car went consistent 10.90's to 11.0's in +3,500 DA on a drag pack. I was able to attain the #1 qualifier and the fastest pass of the event for the N/A SBE category. I also averaged 30 mph for the 1,200 mile trip from NC to BG KY. No flat land from here to there.
