Crap drag brakes?
One of these runs is not like the others.
Today we messed around with the boost map to see what it would take to keep a flat tq curve to redline. That will be another post. This is a gen v 5.3 in a 17 camaro. In the middle of playing we started seeing numbers that were lower than expected. Fuel, boost, timing all looked good. We looked the dyno over, strapping, weather unit... we were getting close to busting out the compression gauge and some fresh plugs. Turns out it was the brakes on the car dragging. We pulled the wheels and manually pushed the pads out and made another run and all of the power came back. The wheels were cold, the rotors just a little warm. I may have to drop the cash on tbm brakes for this project. I know the front brakes drag a fair amount, now I know the rears do to at least sometime. Are we doing something wrong or does everyone but tbm make crappy brakes? Would tbm brakes really fix this issue?

I called aerospace. They made the front brakes. We came up with a no brainer idea at least for the front.
Get it up in the air. See how much drag there is. Assuming it is high like I have seen recently try loosening the bleader. If the brakes release then it is a residual pressure problem. If not then the calipers are just sticky. You can see in this massive 1/4” wheelie how quick the wheel slows down. https://youtu.be/cGmcKBLPZYw

I thought you could get tbm brakes but they are not available for the 6th gen. I called tbm, Motion and even messaged Doug with the blue mule.

Make sure the calipers are shimmed properly so they are centered on the rotors.
