I appreciate you checking. So I pulled the sd card and it turns out it was recording events this entire time lol... apparently I had set the LEDs to all be off when I had it wired via the cig lighter.. oops!

as mentioned the canbus can be very delicate to any aftermarket items being installed, and the bcm measures expected amp draws on circuits and gets finicky if it sees something it is not expecting. I have seen vehicles go into no start condition with a simple GEOTAB GPS unit plugged into the aldl port.

Thanks, @wildchevy. This would cause issues almost immediately after installation, though, right? My setup has been running trouble free since the middle of April, so I think such amperage draw discrepancies would've been exposed by now.

Hey, sorry, I didn't see this earlier. Here's an earlier post of mine with the details: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showp...7&postcount=20

So digging up an old thread. I am installing my U1000 camera tomorrow and I'm not doing some wrap-a-wire-around the a-pilar to get it to the main fusebox install . I'm very meticulous about my cars and THAT would drive me insane. I need to know if anyone has found anywhere other then the BCM to attach the wires needed for power? I know canbus connections can be sensative...I have a Solstice, and that thing is a nightmare of sensativity. I'm so meticulous, that last summer I tore out my entire Monsoon system and replaced it. Rewiring everything including the speakers, which had to go through "new found" grommet holes. But it looks factory and I don't have 1 wire loosely hanging around. As a matter of fact, I only pierced 1 grommet to do the job, and it was an empty hold anyway...so you can tell how meticulous I am about visible wires.

Sorry brother, it's been 5 years and I don't remember. You can check the fuse IDs using your owners manual based on my photo, and another member posted his fuse setup a couple posts down from mine
