Thank You - PK Auto Design and Forgeline
I recently purchased a set of Forgeline monoblock GTD1 5-lug wheels for my ZL1 1LE. I used PK Auto Design as my vendor of choice.
A quick note to first say thank you to Paul at PK Auto Design. He was referred to me by another Forum member, and he has been absolutely exceptional in his customer service. I consider myself a thorough researcher of product and vendors well before I make a purchase decision on larger items. I made contact with Paul via email and what ensued over the course of days/weeks were 49 emails (yes I counted them) that I sent to him for which he responded to very quickly and even during evenings and weekends. This was not my expectation, so clearly I was impressed and surprised at his responsiveness, but also his patience to put up with all my questions, on and on. Every question was met with a response as quickly and thoroughly as the last. He earned my business, EASILY! A 4 to 6 week manufacturing timeline was set as the expectation by Forgeline. A little over a week in and I had a change to the order to change the wheel finish. Even with the order change, the wheels were completed and delivered right at 3 weeks from the date of order. Under commit, over deliver. The wheels were in perfect condition. Nice job guys. Thanks

I will probably be looking at some new shoes in the near future. PK has a solid rep on this forum so he will be my vendor of choice.
BTW, nice choice the ZLE looks Awesome.........picked the best color too! |

Talked to Paul this week about a set of forgelines. He was very helpful! What are the details on your wheels? Size, offset, and color?

So on the front, I am running a 6mm spacer. This reduced the number of lug nut turns to just over 3 (not enough). To compensate for this and to ensure proper thread engagement, Forgeline sent ET style lug nuts for the front. However, in the end, I chose to replace my front wheel studs with ARP extended wheel studs (extra 1/2" longer).
