I see more using the LT4 pump and a bigger lobe cam. 10% more flow compared to the LT4 is what another 60-70whp of fuel head room? That is not quite the gains of a cam, but not near the cost either.
It's always cost.

Right but it's cheaper then a cam swap by far. 1500.00 for a LPE pump that will support 670-680 whp on E85 or what 4k? for a cam swap and LT4 pump so you can make 700-720whp on E85.

If you are doing your own work it's a wash our cam packages are 1495.00 and the pump is 1595.00

You still have to watch low side pressure, high side pressure and injection pulse time.

Some people are willing to push these Items further than they should or I would for a dyno number,

When you log on the street is a game changer for the above Items.

Ted.

Can anyone confirm that someone has safely/successfully tuned a car on e85 using the LPE big bore pump instead of the LT4 hpfp??? I am currently running LT4 injectors, hpfp and DSX aux pump. It would be nice not to have to mix e85 and 87 every time I fill up. Not to mention the savings on doing a cam install as previously mentioned.

Yes ADM performance did...they made 680whp on a stock 1LE with LT4 injectors and LPE big bore using a LT4 blower. They gained 60whp of fuel headroom over the LT4 HPFP.

Good piece if you can get your hands on one they seem to be like Hens teeth.

Note, you can not run a 32% lobe with the big bore pump.

Ligenfelter site says their pump can take their 7.5mm lobe

LPE updated the pump to support a bigger fuel lobe.

Did you by chance ever get a chance to test other pullies or combinations?

Also do you use 5th or 6th gear when making a pull? How much power difference have you seen between using 5th instead of 6th?

Yes I did and it was our of fuel so I aborted the testing

Autos are 6th gear on the 8 speed, and 7th on the 10 speed.

Thanks

I figured you probably ran out of fuel. We found the limits of the LPE DI pump on E80 @ 8psi. Hard to compare power because 5th gear was used. I imagine dropping back to E60 would free up quite a bit of headroom.
