Rapid Blue SS 1LE spotted Long Island

Yesterday driving from work to home 11:30 am, Holbrook area, a rapid blue 1LE passed in the opposite direction. He gave the light flash, I was slow on the trigger to return, but waved!!!

I must say, damn that color is awesome in 1LE trim!!!

Anyone on here by chance?????

I was at a car show last weekend in Lake Grove, easily a dozen 6th gens and a slew of 5th gens, and of course many of other gens too! I have never seen that many 6th gens here before! LOL!
I see them on the roads here and there, but not many in any trim, Mustangs, Challengers and Chargers take the majority, by far!

I'm in South Setauket, mid suffolk county. Show was in Lake Grove, Miller's Ale house, right by the Smithhaven mall, 10 minutes from me.

Can't find any Camaro meets around here, but there are always general meets, shows and such most weekends all summer. Dozens of Mustang meets though.....

How did you find out about the Miller Ale house meet? Is there a local forum, like long island camaro club on facebook?

There is a regular meet at Millers most every Sunday. This last one was a specific charity event, it was huge!!!! I heard about it from one of my Mustang owning friends.

Long Island Cars does regular shows monthly I believe? Different locations around the island.

I also hit a regular cars and coffee meet in old setauket, first Sunday of every month, it is right on 25A heading towards port jefferson. This time I was at Millers though.

I usually also randomly drop in whenever I pass a bunch of cars gathered, they pop up in parking lots here and there, like chasing ghosts! LOL!

Sounds good. I should try and get a long island meetup together. I noticed in PA they have SEPA5 - 5th / 6th gen Camaro cars & coffee type meetup, but that is too far out for me.

I have tried to that over the last few years, seems most folks meet in the city or NJ, neither is very convenient for me. Nassau/Suffolk all good, once bridges and tunnels are involved, I'm out! LOL!!!!

There is a 5th gen club, all clubs are on FB, which I am not. FB is where the folks are, I just refuse social media madness, lol

FB will get you to where and when meets are, if you find any, let me know!!!!

That is cool - someone should create an NY 6th gen camaro forum.

I found a couple of long island cars and coffee groups on facebook.

Looks like there is a regular meet of all muscle cars now in captree.

Captree has been going for years, I used to go there some time ago, haven't been in a dogs age! I am very north shore, 5+ miles north of expressway, east of exit 62, not a quick drive when I'm not awake! LOL

May try getting out that one again, I had actually forgotten about it.

Do you know how often captree happens? Weekday evenings?

I am in Westbury, so it would probably take me around 30-50 mins depending on the time of day.

If it what it used to be, it was Sunday mornings?
