Cooled Seats into A/C seats?

Hi everyone!

A friend and I were looking into how to make our cooled seats in our 6th gens (his a 2016 2SS, mine a 2022 2SS 1LE) actual air conditioned seats. We stumbled upon the below item and were wondering if anyone knew if this would work? We could install this A/C unit thing where the current fan is under our seats.

Any ideas/suggestions? Has anyone tried this or have a more successful way to make our "ventilated seats" actually cool?

That would be AWESOME! Work with Gen5DIY and whip up a plug and play kit for us 2SS owners to upgrade…I’m happy to be your first customer.

I've been plenty good with ventilated seats.

Me too, but you see the OP is from Georgia? We like our heated seats up in the northern area, I can only imagine how hot the interior gets down south during the summer months.

Just moved to Michigan after 30 years in Florida. I was plenty fine with ventilated seats down there, too.

Even in Michigan, AC seats were a huge improvement over ventilated seats.

Awesome...! Some aren't... I would never live in the south because of the heat. I HATE it... I'd want AC seats if I lived down there. WI summers get to hot for me.

Agreed. I'd upgrade if it worked and it wasn't an arm/leg.

Personally, I believe your most likely consumer for a kit would be folks like me that own a convertible. The ventilated option is ok in the coupe, but when you're sitting in the full force of the sun it doesn't do squat.

So this connects to a floor duct and routes conditioned duct air directly to the seat blower?

That's what window tinting was invented for

No, the Peltzier effect units are standalone, the ducting runs directly from the module to the seat cushion. They can provide both hot and cold air.

I've been debating that for even here in WI.
