Cleaning up clear coat scuffs.

I bought my ZLE used, 12K miles, It's not perfect but it's not a pig.

There are some scuffs/smudges in the clear coat, one about 4" long on the carbon fiber hood insert, some on the front bumper. What's the best way to get them out and shine up the car?

I have no polishers / compounds or anything so, consider this a net new, and I don't mind making a little bit of an investment.

I'm not totally alien to paint prep and all that, I run a Cerakote shop. I never had a car I cared about the paint on so I've never gotten into the weeds on it.

If the answer is take it to a professional detailer, then that's the answer but I wanted to ask here before I spend a dime on some snake oil.

Invest in a Flex or Porter Cable polisher and some compound and give it a whirl. It might bring it back. Otherwise you'll be looking at wet sanding, then polishing. I've had a Porter Cable for years and use it regularly.
