FLOW TIE Part Numbers and bumper bolts

On a 2019 Camaro the CHEVY emblem that is actually a plastic CHROME insert into the front BUMPER BAR has the part number 84323011. This is commonly referred to as a FLOW TIE because the center portion of the emblem is OPEN

In my specific case I REMOVED the flow tie from the bumper with a plastic trim tool so that I could sand it and paint it flat black. You DO NOT have to remove the plate that covers the hood latch and the hood latch itself to get access to the BACK of the bumper bar The flow tie will come out pretty easily from the FRONT of the bumper using a PLASTIC trim tool.

The reason I am posting this is I vaguely remember someone posting up that they COULDNT find the part number and felt like the only way to get it would be to order the complete bumper assembly.

This part number IS hard to find using any type of search engine or parts website. To find THIS number and others you may want to find, you HAVE to give your chevy dealer the last EIGHT of the VIN number. With a proprietary software program ONLY THEY have they can pull up a detailed parts list

In theory this program will give them individually EVERY individual part that was ORIGINALLY on that car.

On a side note I ALSO purchased some 7MM kept washer BLACK bumper cover bolts because SOMEWHERE along the line I lost a couple of bolts while putting on my EOS ZL1 Style splitter. I TRIED to source these at LOWES but GUESS WHAT???? GM used a proprietary LENGTH bolt that is NOT available anywhere else that I am aware of.

The PART number on THESE bolts (there are 12 of them) is 11547421. These DAMN things are RETAIL 8.53 a PIECE. WTF???? At that rate it probably would cost 150K to buy all the parts for a 45K cost car at the time!!!

Anyhow, bottom line is the DEALER should have access to any part number you need EVEN though no doubt SOME of them WILL NOT be available.

Thanks a lot for the info The flowtie part number isn't secret, I can see it in online catalogs, but there is no extra information about it whatsoever, so it's good to know it's the flowtie. As to these bolts, I bought an aftermarket set on amazon that looks identical and paid $14 for a set of 15: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H8B6BF4. The site says it isn't available at the moment, hopefully supply willbe restored, the seller isn't one of those random touch-and-ago fake companies.

Awesome, do let me know please. These look very similar indeed, let's hope the washer OD is 16 mm as stated in the listing, the ones I bought were supposed to have "XL" 20 mm washers but they actually didn't.

Well ARPAD as we probably suspected these bolts WERE not the same size as the factory GM bolts. However I did find them quite useful in reinforcing the EOS ZL1 Style splitter I have on the car.

As you know the FACTORY bolts all face the ground when installed. So to help with strength I ran one these NEW bolts in at approximately a 45 degree angle more towards the front edge of the splitter, I placed them in between each of the factory bolt locations. These bolts I got DO HAVE 7MM heads like the factory bolts but they are shorter and look to be not quite as thick so they are PERFECT in providing additional support.

This particular splitter is carbon fiber so I ran a door edge guard along the bottom edge so that it would provide additional protection against scrapes.

Awesome, that's how you make lemonade when amazon ships you lemons Love your smart call on the door edge guard, too. Thanks for the info and the picture.
