Volume issues with chevy mylink

I have a feeling there is a thread somewhere persisting to this same issue. There's no way I'm the only one who has this problem, because it occurs quite often.

The volume on my car stereo isn't working properly. It's not loud... at all... In fact, when I try turning it up to the max, the volume fades away a little more. This occurs when I disconnect my phone from the USB cable at just the wrong time. Or, sometimes it occurs when I have a bad connection with the USB cable. I know it's a glitch. Sometimes, I can get the volume working again. I try various methods to get it working and only SOMETIMES do my methods work. It's so frustrating. There has to be a specific fix to this problem. I hate getting in my car, crossing my fingers and hoping that the stereo has magically "glitched itself" back to normal. Someone please help!
