Clicking under braking

Hello all,

I searched for this topic already but only found threads relating to SS 1LEs and so on.

Under medium braking pressure while coming to a stop I keep getting a rhythmic clicking sound. Sometimes it sounds like something is hitting the spokes of my rims other times it is just a single click.
It only typically does this once there is some heat in the brakes.

It started doing this after the last visit to the dealer and has been back 4 times with them completely replacing the front callipers and pads and rebuilding the rear callipers.

Now the dealer refuses to do any further work since they can't figure it out and are annoyed they threw $2000+ worth of parts at it without charging me.

I'll be taking it to another mechanic, not a dealership, but I figured I'd ask here just to see if anyone else has had something similar happen.

Any insight is appreciated.

See if you can get a video of the sound. Hard to help without being able to listen.

Maybe get a friend in the car and with windows down try to figure out which wheel. If it doesn't isolate, could be drivetrain.

For future benefit for anyone else with this issue:

I didn’t have time to get wheels off and lift it. Figured before I use brakleen let me try wheel cleaner - it worked just spraying tons of wheel cleaner into rotor hat openings.

Didn’t need to flex the hats but imagine it it’s way dirtier that would be the move. Appreciate op posting this because I was sure it was a bracket or something before I saw the video.

Would think anyone should try wheel cleaner first and then brakleen/flexing brackets if former approach doesn’t work.

Edit: Whoops not original thread but holds true
