My resonator got louder and started rattling a month ago. 2 weeks later I replaced it with a x pipe. A little louder but tone was flat after about 4k rpm. So 2 weeks after x pipe I put on mbrp hemoltz pipes. It is properly loud now and I like it except the drone between 2-3 k rpm when windows are up. Anybody have experience with resonator and muffler change ?

Yep. Ended up using siless 3 in 1 sound deadening in the truck... Significantly reduced the drone... One box was enough to cover most areas... Wheel tubs, trunk floor, and all the way up to the taillights.

I could probly add a bit more to drop the drone even more, but unless I am into throttle going up hill at that RPM it's minimal. Normal just drop a gear bump to 2500 and it smooths right out...

Try some deadening in the trunk...did it in about 2hrs... That included removing the bolted down electronics.

Thank you, I will look into that. I am very happy my exhaust except for the 2k drone with the windows up.It was disturbing at first but I have become kind of use to it .I would never go back stock.
