Time slips posted, best with 9.80@142.96 (Previous 9.86@142)

We are loaded up on the trailer to make another attempt to run faster than the 9.86@142 we've run twice, once last fall and a few weeks ago. Mike made some changes to the launch timing and some fueling to try and get the car to leave harder and into the 1.30s on the 60ft. We didn't have much timing in it before since it was pulling it anyway. So now that the trans seems to be working well with the unlock we are throwing the kitchen sink at it. I only get one pass in the morning with the smaller 98mm pulley which is about 11 psi of boost, then I have to swap out to the larger 98mm pulley which is just under 10 lbs. Air will be real good in the morning with my first pass more like last fall which was in the low 50s and DA was getting close to Zero. I think the DA will probably be closer to 500 but still much better than the first time out this year. I just hope it will hook, we'll see. The only thing different about the car is it has a little less fuel in it than last time out or last fall. Been running well above 1/2 tank but this time the first pass will be about 3/8 tank so maybe 25 to 30 lbs less weight.

Good luck to ya, and are you going to do any data logging? 500 DA is great , lucky you.

I log every pass and I have 100s that are still on my computer from the 16ss, 16 C7 and plenty on this car also. I'm just guess at the DA at this point but I know within a couple degrees what it should be on the first pass. I hope it's lower than 500 or closer to zero.

Just hope with the added launch timing all the axles will stay where they are supposed to be and the DS also. It's a pretty big race so the track will have a great prep. Let's hope for the Hook and Book, not the shake and break.

I'll post some time slips in a bit.
1st pass ran 9.80@142.96 1.455 60ft 6.34@112.28 1/8 11 psi 95mm pulley DA was just of 140 and temps mid 50s. This is the first time the car has every spun the tires. The track prep was not good early. They sprayed the track but they couldn't drag it because the tractor they have broke something, so the spray was just laying on the track and we were the first in the box and spun the tires. Sucks cause I'm pretty sure I would have been in the mid 9.70s, the air was so good and I won't get that again till fall.
2nd pass on a 9.89@140.96 1.457 60ft 6.39@111.70 1/8- 9.8 psi on 98mm pulley. Really didn't think it would run that quick on that low of boost.
4th pass 9.83@141.86 1.444 60ft, 6.34@111.46 1/8 on 11 psi Temps in mid 60s and DA was about 675 so still ran great even with warmer temps.
Also ran 9.97@127 in elimination, let off as soon as I got around him but not soon enough and broke out. My 1/8 mile was 6.39@111.56 1.445 60ft, would have been another 9.80s pass on the bigger pulley. I'm very happy with the trans, we aren't pushing it at all, I want it to live so picking up another tenth means nothing so not pulling all the Torque management out to go any faster.

Ugh! I know the feeling! You finally get awesome DA, and you either spin or screw up the run (or worse lol)….

I still made gains and with the larger pulley I have two options for different classes. In the summer I still have to run the smaller pulley because the DA and temps are going sky high.
