7 second 5th gen sbe

well for those of you that don't follow my build thread, ill post a little here. Last season the car ran a best of 8.38@163 at 3420lb raceweight. This season I've completely redid the whole setup.

Details of build-
Sbe 6.0
Stock 821 heads, untouched ports
Btr .685 springs shimmed .030
Cid 5.0 ls3 intake w/ holley billet elbow
Th400 w/ 9.5" ptc 15-0 converter
Solid axle 9" with backhalf. 4.11 gears
Cable drive fuel system w/ 17gpm enderle fuel pump
(16) bosch 210lb injectors
Single gt55 94mm turbo
No intercooler.
Strange DA rear coilovers
Afterworks custom valved front coilovers
M1 for fuel

Ran out of ignition coil at 18psi where it made 855/801. It carried power all the way to 8200+ with the cid intake! I will be running it this Saturday on the 18psi to make sure everything goes straight and it stops okay. After that I'm throwing the holley smart coils on, putting a 4.57 gear in the rear, and putting a 20-0 stator in and turning boost up to 30-32psi. Shooting for 4s and 7s this season which shouldn't be too hard. Here's a quick video of the dyno day from the tuner.

I'm surprised you ran out of coil. We still run stock gm on our 7 second builds, 32psi setups.

Kinda what I thought But it cuts out pretty hard even with plug gaps at .010

full cutting out or a misfire ?

It was misfiring pretty bad, only up top on boost above 18-19. It didn't show loss of crank/cam signal in the logs. Closing gap from .016 to .010 let us add a few more lbs.

I'll know for sure when we go back for tuning with the smart coils on for sure if it was the issue.
