i had a oem gm one on my ss before i got coilovers and it didnt fit so i sold it doesnt do much

Guys the Camaro gt4r built by Pratt &miller doesn't have a strut brace so yes the car is stiff enough and does not benefit from it.

Your Camaro doesn’t really need one but if you want to install one for the bling factor then go for it Drnick!

GM is about saving money.....just look at that stamped steel "flexible" steel crap in the rear suspension and those thin tubes with the squashed ends they call strut braces....

True, cars are built to a very strict budget, where every dime is scrutinized. Yet, the Camaro is one of the best performing cars for the money, and they incorporated many features they didn't have to to achieve that goal. Further, judging the mechanical fitness simply based on your perception of how parts should look isn't really valid unless you have some engineering data or OPEX to back it up

Well, it fits! But it didn’t come with any instructions, but really didn’t need any,
Although it would be nice to know the torque specs of the 6 bolts on top of The shock towers. PS it’s not very Blingy, unless u paint it. |

It's flexible for a reason. Over uneven pavement that slight flex keeps the wheels planted and avoids bounce. If anything, it probably cost more to have stamped steel fabricated instead of a solid piece. GM strategically dialed in more compliance to allow better traction for an already uber stiff chassis.
