Will OEM ZL1 Rockers fit my SS 1LE
Hello all, picked up some take off ZL1 rockers on eBay from a 2021 ZL1 1LE in the same color as my 2022 SS 1LE. Do any of you know if this is as easy of a swap as it looks to be? Don’t have them yet but I’m hoping it’s just a remove and replace thing with no alignment or fitment issues. Thanks for the help and information.

As far as I know, the ZL1 fenders bulge out half an inch more than the SS (1LE), so you'll need some massaging in the front. Gen5DIY sells a spacer kit, see here: https://www.gen5diy.com/collections/...der-spacer-kit.
Other than that, it should be plug and play.

Thanks! If you know, does this kit require modifying the rocker mounting or the fender mounting? Can’t tell much from the site but the template looks like the fender. Thank you again

I have not done this conversion (bought a ZL1 style side skirt set from C7 Carbon instead), but I think the kit mounts to the fender and pushes it out to align with the ZL1 rocker panel.
Also, here is a thread from with a lot of details from members who already attempted this: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=488562 (mind you, the Gen5DIY kit was not yet available at that time, so their workarounds are FYI only, I'd simply contact Gen5DIY for help with the install).

It's very simple, you either space out the bottom mounting point of the fender to match the rocker or use some zip-ties or something to pull the rocker in the half inch or so.

So I took forever to update this. I got the ZL1 rockers installed and they are and look incredible. I had my painter repaint the satin black but the satin steel was dead on match and in perfect condition. I didn’t space out the front fenders though, my body guys was able to reshape them and attach to the front fenders and they lined up perfectly. Best cosmetic mod I could have done. I did grab the GEN5 kit but didn’t use it so if anyone reading this could use it pay for the shipping and I’ll send the kit for nothing.
