Estimate of delivery time to dealer from build date

My ZLE order is at 3400 status with targeted production next week Jan. 10. Any educated guesses or your actual experiences on time from date built until delivery to a dealer in TN? I think I have to plan to trailer the new car back to LA given the ambient temp. of January winters in TN. Any assistance would be appreciated.

under normal conditions (pre-Covid) it could be anywhere from 3-6 weeks.
Now under Covid's issues, with all the shipping issues, it's hard to guess. Could be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months.

Exactly this, I am from Detroit and with Delta Township Assembly (LGR) being only a couple hours away it took almost a month for the car to be delivered after it was 'built.' This was in September of 21, fyi.

If you ordered without any of the items that are not available (1LE wing, PDR, or any other item that's in short supply) then I can see it taking longer than the 3-6 weeks. I figure that GM will have to reach out to the dealership to let them know that the items are not available, and then they will have to reach out to you, and then you'll have to let the dealership know. I figure that should take an extra few weeks. It's a shame that GM can't contact you directly to tell you that "_____ is unavailable and wanted to know if you're ok with not having ____ ". I am glad that I didn't order the 1LE for the wing, and I had read that the Performance Data Recorder were causing delays, so I steered clear.

As a data point, my ZLE (with PDR) went status 3400 on 11/18/2021 and had a TPW of 11/22/2021, but it just got built this week. I suspect that delays were in big parts due to the PDR option, so if you have this option as well then a TPW of 01/10 might be... optimistic

Hope it gets built soon though!

If you time it right no reason not to drive it back home. You will be heading mostly south during the entire drive so a weather forecast can easily give you a safe 1-2 day window.

Thanks for the input. True about the weather forecast plus the dealer agreed to keep the car on the showroom floor "with velvet ropes around it" in case of bad weather. I already agreed with the dealer and Chevrolet in Nov. to delete the PDR option just to get this car built after 6 months. (ZL1 1LE components were are on constraint) Btw, target production week is actually this week of January 10 but it sounds like I shouldn't get my hopes up.

I just ordered a 22 m6 ZL1 and the guy at the dealership told me 12-18 months? The kid was extremely new and that doesn’t sound right to me. But I guess who knows

12-18 months seems a bit high... but it will take awhile.
Also depends on that dealer's ability to obtain allocation. So that might be correct for that dealer.
Took me about 6 months from order to build date. The car was just built last week.

He did mention something about allocation, honestly don’t remember. Fingers crossed it’s sooner! Thanks for the info though
