Borla S-Type Sound Clip with Headers
Hi guys. Didn’t see too many sound clips with a full borla 3” s-type cat back with headers and green cats so here you go. I just switched out from the atak mufflers To the s-type with carbon fiber tips.
Sec 1-33 valves open at idle. Sec 35-52 valves closed with revs Sec 53-end valves open with revs I really didn’t rev it to hard as didn’t want to piss neighbors off S-type deep growl compared to atak, much less rasp. WOT more bearable in/outside cabin. http://142.44.212.10/internal/zl1-borla-s.mov |

Sounds good and probably a smart switch with the headers

That’s the kicker. They don’t just sell a 3” axle back online, it’s special from borla only. I called borla. Explained situation about wanting the s-type mufflers only. I also had a problem with valves squeaking a bit, not huge deal (cleaning them and putting dry lube on them Seemed to fix it) but it was just out of warranty. Chris from borla explained that the mufflers are almost the same price as a full cat back. In the end I got some credit for the just out of warranty valve squeak and received an entire new 3” cat back s-type with carbon fiber tips.

It really is the best. I had it on my V8 M3, and it was such a great sound.

Sounds mean. I'm curious how the S Type Axle will sound with Headers on my SS, but this helps!

Blimey, that sounds great! I love my S Type NPP. My tuner keeps telling me it'll be too loud with headers, but I dunno, that sounds perfect to me. If you get a chance to record any driving videos or in or out of the cabin, would love to hear it. Nice job!

Yes it is 2.75in. Just did a little bit of fabrication and welded up some reducers and clamped it on. But of work but worth it?
