Hell, I guess the 50% more expensive fuel at a track is because of wokeism too, then lol. "Woke" is the warcry of the ignorant now, in many regards.

Electrics aren't really designed for cross-country driving right now. They are made to reduce emissions for the most common vehicular pollutant activity outside of commercial vehicles, which is commuting and simply tooling around doing errands. In places like LA and other densely populated areas, it gets smoggy AF from people idling in traffic forever.

You can hate on 'em all you want. You'll still be getting dragged by some random Tesla Model S in near silence, and then they will go home and top up at some stupid cheap kWh price. Meanwhile you just pissed away a couple of bucks in fuel just to lose.

I’m not getting into economics. The connection between the war on fossil fuels by wokesters and fuel prices skyrocketing is very clear for anyone who cares to look.

I don’t race sewing machines so the probability of me ‘getting dragged’ by a Tesla is zero.

The "war" on fossil fuels? Is that the same as how Christianity is under attack in America?

Saying you won't race is a polite way of saying you know you'll lose. At least you'll sound better doing it.

That much is clear. Otherwise you wouldn’t say half the s#lt you say.

I’m no fan of electrification, but to associate it with a political view point is cluelessness.

I didn’t realize that anytime someone passed on a street race it meant they knew they would lose. Interesting point of view. I don’t race the idiots in Z’s or hopped up Civics, either. I guess my 1LE can’t beat them either?

If I want to race a Tesla it will be on a track, and I’ll win because there’s more to winning on a track than lots of torque.

I majored in economics so no, I’m not wasting my time trying to explain something to someone who’s determined NOT to get it.

Only humans could convince themselves that replacing one form of transportation that causes air pollution and warming of the earth with one that requires vast quantities of fresh water (to produce the lithium) and creates equally vast quantities of toxic sludge that has to be kept segregated from said fresh water sources (and we all know how good we are at that).

There is a lot of lithium supply in the US that hasn't been economically feasible to go after in general. A lot of it is in the SW. Just wait for the competition between new lithium mined, agriculture and homes for fresh water that is already in critically short supply.

Even Musk is starting to realize the whole EV house of cards is going to collapse unless something more sustainable is developed.

Never thought of it that way, but I think you sorta nailed it.

Ya... EV choice right now is really black and white for most people. (Love or Hate). It seems "to me" that all though many people are not against it, it's simply not for them. (Like Me). I don't care if auto makers want to produce EVs and I could careless who buys one. I however will not be jumping into the EV market because for me, it isn't worth the investment. (Well it's not even technically an investment) The EV depreciates just like any other auto. Adding the charger to my home/garage maybe an investment as I may recoup that cost when selling. That's yet to be determined. My wife and I have been looking at homes now for over a year. Not one house we've gone through (many of them brand new ) have EV charger capabilities in them.

You are also right in the fact that for many (not all) people... an auto choice is an extension of them, their personality. If I am not turning around looking at my car when I park and walk away from it... I'm simply not buying it. There is no EV available right now that does that for me. Then the cost on top of it to get into it. Yep.. Not happening.
