I went with body color matching diode dynamics. It’s another option to keep from looking too modded or plasticky. Bright as hell day or night!

Tinted, no question about it. Replacing the mismatched red and weird orange stockers adds class, and clear wouldn't harmonize with anything else on a G7E painted car. I installed the dark 1LE tails and third brake light, too, which renders the entire look meaner and more muscular.

This subject, as in most cosmetic mods are a matter of personal opinion. There is no right or wrong answer.

I thought about this for some time, then decided to go tinted because of all of the dark/black trim on the ZLE.

I'm not a big fan of stickers or badges either (deleted 3 of 4 ZL1 badges). Again, it doesn't make it right or wrong; it is my personal preference.

OK, then you could also say black lights look like a 16 year old went overboard with a can of VHT NiteShades. Cheap and tacky.

I never understood blacking out marker lenses on a light colored car. It stands out in a bad way IMO. Why bring attention to the marker lights? It's like the folks who put a chrome fuel lid on a dark colored car. When people look at the car, do you want their eyes to be drawn to the god damned gas door above all else? I don't get it.

I think dark looks better, goes with the other dark accents on your car

I did the DD clear because I felt that it did better blending on a white car but the jewel cut within the clear lens better matched the running lights & headlight DRL's jewel cut (see the pics)...plus the clear IMO looks classier and didn't draw your eyes to the dark looking corner looking stripes.
At the end of the day, everyone will have a different & possibly similar opinion, go with what you like as it's your car and enjoy!

I was stuck between smoked and clear. I think I would have gone clear if I kept stock tails, but with the smoked tails I think the smoked markers match better.

Well yeah they both look bad, but I was specifically talking about the clear lenses and not the smoked/tinted ones which is why I said what I did.

At any rate, most of the external/aesthetic modifications I've seen people make here and on the Mustang/Corvette forums are absolute tragedies so it at least falls in line with the themes.

I went with light smoked from JWMotorsports to ultimately match the tinted tail lights when I get round to ordering them. Didn't like the clear as much because you can see all the inner workings of the lights.

Dark. But how safe are they as far as visuals?

All the LED aftermarket side markers are going to be a lot brighter then the stockers, tinted or not.
