What is on the right front side of the car that gives it that much extra weight?

I noticed that as well.. I see on mine, on pass side there's multiple fluid reservoirs, relay/fuse housing, the main power lead from rear battery, what looks like a computer of some sort (didn't look to see which one) and an accessory under the hoses with a giant pulley (waterpump?).. Those could all add up to the difference easily.

Hard to say really. With a driver, that weight balance is likely much more evenly distributed. The corner balance is nearly perfect the way the car sits though so I don't think that there is much to be unhappy about..... Jared Royce 801.545.4215 |

Guess that could also be the point they were going for.. Offset the right front by some to compensate for the fact there will always be a pilot in it when it's moving.
I'm perfectly happy with the weight myself.. It's heavier than the GS I just came out of, but much better in overall terms and it makes my 5th gen feel like a dinosaur. |

I about swallowed my tongue when I read about the 10 speed auto in the ZL1. I know there will be alot of people that don't think it wise but having owned the 8 speed now i'd say that it can definitely be done right and I'm confident GM will get it right. All the best, Jared Royce 801.545.4215 |

I asked this in the wheels/tires section but I don't think anybody sees that section. How much do the wheels weigh on this car and do the split spoke wheels weigh more than the regular 5 spoke wheels?

it came with 49.5% corner balance, stock. we corner balanced it, and now it's 49.9%. done on longacre scales by a reputable shop. https://plus.google.com/102840283091...ts/V6cKcbp3LhC edit - whoops - pics show corner balance weight prior to balancing ;-) Last edited by irmb; 01-11-2018 at 03:42 PM. |

So far I got catback with Helmholtz resonators, no mufflers. Rotary forged squared setup of 19x10.5 Stance SF03 @ 23.5-24lbs a wheel, no idea on the tires... in terms of weight reduction. I wanna replace seats for some Carbon Fiber bucket seats and magnesium seat rails if I can.. forged aluminum at the least.
