Twin Turbo Kits
I've been eyeing the Hellion twin turbo kit for my ls3.
Curious what everyone's thoughts are on this kit or if they would recommend another twin turbo kit over it? I'm planning on 1000+ hp for the car and it seems like hellion would be the best option for me. For the last several years I've been planning on a supercharger but based on my power goals and the person I'm planning on racing I believe twin turbos is the way to go as the power kicks in a lot sooner and that would be my advantage with a heavier car. |

I know some of the guys prefer the AGP kit because you still have access to the plugs. But I've heard great things about the hellion kit too. Personal preference I suppose as both are very potent setups.

I'd opt for an agp kit. Reuse the factory manifolds, it allows for plug access, better heat retention so better spool up and they're cast so they won't be cracking over time from the weight of the turbos.

Huron has a nice twin kit, i will eventually grow out of my single kit and into their twin system, been studying the installs and fitments and just like my single kit it has been nothing but Glorious. They make a nice turn down adapter to connect all the oil lines to scavenger pump. This kit also uses stock manifold for that clean under hood fitment and wiring.
lower mount twins are nice, eliminates a ton of under hood temps. But at the cost of setting up and running a scav pump, imo worth it especially since twin top mount kits need a ton of relocation and rewiring of the harness and PCM. Im not saying its wrong, but to each their own. I like a glove box and a cooler engine bay. |

I opted for the larger bore Huron header/manifold for my heavier twins and LSX. More air flow and stout.

Wow, that's serious high level welding on those. Looks like robot quality.

I reckon I should have posted this up instead. I had them Jet-Hot 2500 red before installation to try and lower underhood temps. Sorta kinda helped, a little. Can still get to all the spark plug wires although #4 is tight with the dipstick. I also moved to Accel ceramic plug wires to mitigate the heat issue on the boots. That helped a lot.
